  1. Define communication and describe ways that communication can happen.
  2. Develop and reflect on own communication skills, including non-verbal, para-verbal and active listening.
  3. State barriers to communication and describe how to overcome them.
  4. Converse with others adeptly and mitigate precipitating factors.
  5. Define conflict and conflict resolution.
  6. Explain the conflict resolution process and techniques to process different types of conflicts.
  7. Describe types of negotiations, phases of negotiations and the skills needed for successful negotiating.
  8. Apply negotiation techniques and strategies to recognise mutual gain.
